ACTALL HubSens™ · Location Intelligence Platform

Location platform for secure environments

ACTALL HubSens™ is a software platform that ingests, processes, and normalizes data from a wide range of technologies, including real-time location systems, perimeter sensors, and legacy security infrastructure. It acts as the intelligence layer between field devices and operational systems, creating a consistent, real-time stream of information for security, safety and operations teams that can be used across the facility.

“Understand what is happening. Where it is happening. And what it means.”
ACTALL HubSens™

What's new in version 5: modernize Bosch Security Escort without touching the field hardware.

Bosch Security Escort head-end controllers have reached end-of-life and end-of-support. ACTALL HubSens™ replaces the controller, not the investment — the transponders, receivers and Personal Alarm Transmitters (PATs) already installed at 304 MHz and 433 MHz keep running exactly as they are. Avoid costly rip-and-replace projects with ACTALL HubSens™.

Stays exactly as installed
  • Transponders
  • Receivers
  • Personal Alarm Transmitters (PATs) — 304 MHz and 433 MHz
What HubSens modernizes
  • A modern, web-based operations console — no proprietary workstation
  • Alarm and tracking history, queryable through a documented API
  • Calibration that keeps improving location accuracy over time, not frozen at install
A staged, evidence-based cutover

Switching a critical safety system over in one step is risky. The Controlled Evaluation Program (CEP) moves control from Bosch to ACTALL HubSens™ across six gated stages — passive observation, then a transparent pass-through, then parallel operation alongside Bosch, then full control under witness — each producing a report the customer signs off before the next stage begins. Nothing cuts over until the evidence says it's ready.

The cyber-physical problem

More sensors do not automatically create more intelligence.

A modern secure site runs many systems that observe the same physical environment. Each produces a valid view. Each describes place and identity in its own terms — the operator is often left to reconcile them in the moment. Adding more sensors does not improve the picture. Instead, ACTALL HubSens™ can create a shared understanding of who and what is where, and what that means for the operation by using existing or specialist sensing technologies.

The location normalization layer

ACTALL HubSens™ — one operational understanding of people, assets, places and events, shared by every system that needs it.

The intelligence model

Connect → Normalize → Resolve → Contextualize → Interpret → Distribute

Six platform functions describe what ACTALL HubSens™ does with physical-world data — from raw signal to an actionable exception, workflow or alert.

01
Connect

Receive location, identity and sensor data from zonal and coordinate-based systems on site.

02
Normalize

Translate different source representations into a common data and location model.

03
Resolve

Use advanced algorithms to reliably determine the accurate location of events.

04
Contextualize

Combine location with identity, authorization, status, time and surrounding events.

05
Interpret

Apply zones, relationships and rules to determine what matters.

06
Distribute

Provide intelligence to the applications, systems and people who need to act on it.

One platform, multiple outcomes

Safety, security and operations — from one source of intelligence.

ACTALL HubSens™ supplies the intelligence that applications act on. One normalized model, many consumers — adding a use case becomes a matter of interpretation and distribution rather than a new sensing project.

Safety
  • Staff duress response
  • Lone-worker protection
  • Mustering and evacuation accountability
  • Person-down with location context
Security
  • Restricted-zone monitoring
  • Unauthorized presence and movement
  • Visitor and contractor accountability
  • Incident reconstruction
Operations
  • Personnel visibility across a site
  • Critical asset location and checks
  • Controlled movement and escorts
  • Movement and utilisation analysis
Environments

Different industries. Similar physical problems.

Corrections, behavioral health and forensic hospitals remain Actall's core markets — but the same location problem appears wherever operations are secure, complex and technically mixed. If you work in an industry that needs to understand the real-time location and movement of people or assets, contact us to see how ACTALL HubSens™ can support your use case.

Since 1997

Buildings that were never conventional.

Corrections facilities and forensic hospitals are not ordinary buildings. Movement is controlled, areas are restricted, and almost every safety procedure in the operations manual depends on someone knowing where people are. The dual-frequency, patented ACTALL ATLAS™ location technology was built for exactly that — because concrete, steel, mesh and dense partitioning defeat systems designed for open-plan offices.

Reliability was treated as a core operational requirement rather than a specification line, because in a secure facility a missed or inaccurate location causes delayed response. ACTALL HubSens™ is the platform evolution of that same expertise, applied to every critical person and asset on site — across every system that observes them.
